My Priorities
Environment
Our environment is what makes Falmouth, Falmouth. From supporting eco tourism to protecting our water and nature reserves, Jack will work to protect and expand our natural resources.
Climate Change
Climate change is here, and it’s only going to get worse. No solutions should be off the table when discussing climate change mitigation. As a member of the select board, I will advocate to adapt policy suggestions to plan for decades not years when considering our rapidly evolving climate.
Agriculture
The farming community in Falmouth is one of a kind. The town can do more to work with groups like Farming Falmouth to support our local growers. Access to healthy clean food is crucial, and we must expand access and reduce cost to local produce
East Falmouth Village Center
East Falmouth has dozens of wonderful business, however they can struggle to attract foot traffic compared to Main Street and Woods Hole. The town should look into developing existing areas to create a walkable village center to support the 02536
Affordable Housing
Falmouth is turning into Nantucket when it comes to housing affordability. The median home price in Falmouth is over $800,000. We must consider bold solutions to limit second and third home owners from buying property to either use it two weeks of the year or rent it out to short term rentals.
The town should also support opportunities to build new affordable rental units, and look into creative solutions to increase housing without overdeloping.
